This room was also dimly lit, but much nicer and larger than the one they had come from. They were surrounded by cardboard boxes, plastic containers, and white lab coats. The group walked towards a door spilling light from its sides. Ronan picked up his monocular and started looking at the door through it.

‘There are a bunch of people with white coats on the other side, and a lot of patients on beds.’

‘You can see through walls with that thing?’ asked a shocked Marx.

‘Barely. I can make out shapes and colours, but everything is so blurry,’ he answered while squinting. After pulling back he began to address the group.

‘Okay–I think we could disguise ourselves with the lab coats in this room, then try and sneak through. The machinery there is so loud no one would hear us rummaging around in here.’

They searched around and tried to find overalls in their size. Being the smallest of the group, none of the clothes fitted Marx properly, so she had to stay in her Scheve overalls and jump onto a stretcher. All at the door now, Ronan pushed it slightly giving it a proper look. The large room had high ceilings, light green walls, and was full of high-tech equipment. It was like a palace compared to the Corbis devoreum.

‘Right, Crimson.’ Ronan whispered beckoning him. ‘You first.’ Crimson was nervous, he hadn’t expected them to encounter other people this soon. He…
